The DesignerI began designing and making jewellery about three years ago. It came about through my frustration in trying to find designs that I actually liked, were good quality and more importantly, that I wanted to wear. Much of the fashion jewellery that I saw in shops was either affordable and poor quality, or well made but out of my price range. It was then that I decided to enter the fascinating world of jewellery making. The inspiration for much of my work comes from nature; organic shapes, soft lines and colours that match the seasons. I believe that just as nature mixes colours and textures, so should designers and creators of jewellery. I enjoy using a range of materials in my work including Sterling silver, Murano glass, Millefiori and Cloisonné beads, Swarovski Crystal, pearl, semi-precious gemstones and vintage glass beads. Because I offer a bespoke service, I am always happy to discuss materials, especially if there are special requests for items such as diamonds or gold. Natalie Bryan, Burning Giraffe Jewellery*** |
